Sound Familiar? Water Heater Problems We Fix

These are the four problems we hear about most from homeowners across Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties. Each one has a clear fix.

ISSUE_01

Running Out Mid-Shower

A 40- or 50-gallon tank empties fast when two showers and the dishwasher overlap.

THE FIX A correctly sized tankless unit heats water as you use it, so you get endless hot water within its GPM capacity.

ISSUE_02

High Gas Bills

A tank keeps heating stored water around the clock, even while you sleep or travel.

THE FIX Tankless units only fire when a tap opens, which removes that standby heat loss.

ISSUE_03

Scale-Clogged Units

Hard SoCal water leaves calcium scale in the heat exchanger, cutting flow and tripping codes.

THE FIX Regular heat exchanger descaling restores flow and protects the most expensive part of the unit.

ISSUE_04

Codes Nobody Could Fix

Generalist plumbers often reset the unit and leave. The code comes back a week later.

THE FIX Our error-code diagnostics read the code history and find the root cause before we quote a repair.

Why SoCal Calls a Tankless Specialist

A tankless water heater is a gas appliance, a circuit board and a heat exchanger in one box. Getting it right takes people who work on them every day. That's all we do.

  • Tankless-Only Focus

We specialize in tankless systems instead of general plumbing dispatch. That means installs, repairs and maintenance on these units are our everyday work, not a once-a-month call.

  • Factory-Certified

Our technicians are certified by leading manufacturers, so your warranty stays protected. We register new installs and keep dated service records for you.

  • Free Virtual Estimates

Send photos and see a price estimate before anyone comes to your home. Installs then get a free in-home estimate to confirm the details.

  • Clear Pricing

Fair, published price ranges with no hidden admin fees. You approve a written quote before work starts, every time.

  • Error-Code Experts

Known for diagnosing complex codes that generalists miss. We test gas pressure, sensors and venting instead of just clearing the display.

  • Clean & Punctual

On-time arrival and a clean work area when we leave. We treat your garage, closet or utility room like it is our own.

Tankless Upgrade & Service Questions, Answered

How much does tankless water heater installation cost in Los Angeles?

Most installations run $4,500–$7,500, depending on unit size, brand and the venting, gas line and permit upgrades your home needs. Start with a free virtual estimate to see your range before anyone visits.

How does the free virtual estimate work?

You send photos of your current water heater, venting and gas line through our estimate form, and we reply with a price estimate during business hours. Installations also include a free in-home estimate to confirm details.

Will I need a bigger gas line for a tankless water heater?

Often, yes. A tankless unit can draw up to about 199,000 BTU versus roughly 40,000 for a tank, so many homes need a 3/4-inch line or a meter check. We size it during the estimate.

What tankless brands do you work on?

Our factory-certified technicians install and service major tankless brands, including Navien, Rinnai and Noritz, and diagnose error codes across them.

My tankless is showing an error code. Can you fix it?

Yes. Complex error-code diagnosis is our specialty. We read the unit's code history, test gas pressure, sensors and venting, and give you a written quote before repairing.

How much is tankless water heater maintenance?

Full-service maintenance is approximately $479 and includes a full flush, internal fan cleaning, flame rod cleaning and gas pressure set to factory specs. A basic flush is about $200–$250.

How often should I flush my tankless water heater?

Annually is a common baseline in Southern California, with more frequent flushing for hard water or heavy use. Inland areas like Thousand Oaks and much of Orange County often warrant a closer schedule.

What are your hours? Do you offer 24/7 service?

Service visits run Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM. You can send questions or an estimate request anytime online, and we reply during business hours.

What areas do you serve?

We cover metro Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties, from Santa Clarita and Lancaster to Irvine, Mission Viejo, Oxnard and Thousand Oaks.

Do you work on commercial tankless systems?

Yes. We install and maintain tankless systems for commercial properties, including multi-unit racks for restaurants and apartment buildings.
